“During my tenure, there were lot of new initiatives taken by industry. The introduction of economy fans by Khaitan a year earlier paved the way and expanded the market. This segment helped unorganised/unethical sector’s share drop to 25% from almost 65%. With scale of production having been upped in recent times, it is now time for IFMA and industry to give big thrust to Exports. I am glad IFMA is seriously making efforts in this direction as technology wise India is second to none. The future is very bright for the fan industry.”
