Should we use Fan with Air Conditioner?
It is common to turn up the air conditioner at its lowest temperature to cool down the surroundings, but that cool air can generate huge electricity bills and leave a brain freeze. Fans are the normal solution to circulate air and comfort ourselves, but that’s overlooked if you have the AC installed in your room. We all know that fans only circulate air and do not reduce the room temperature. They simply makes you feel cooler by evaporating the sweat on your body by dispersing the heat around you.
So is it correct to turn off Fan and have AC working at lowest temperature? Or is there any better way of cooling and saving high energy bill of AC working like this?
Let’s explain
An efficient and energy-saving way is to use your ceiling fan along with your air conditioner to circulate fresh air quickly and cool down your home and save some money.
It is myth that uses of ceiling fans while using air conditioners reduces the cool comfort in the room as ceiling fans tend to circulate hot air thus increasing the load on air conditioners.
Ceiling fans do not provide cool air they simply circulate the air and create soft breeze that makes you comfortable. Also when used along with an air conditioner, it circulates cool air in the room and give you feel of same cooling comfort if the temperature setting of air conditioner is kept at bit higher level, ther
It’s a common belief that ceiling fans should not be used along with Air Conditioners. The reasoning given is that ceiling fans push the hot air down thus increasing the load on the air conditioners. Which to a certain extent is not wrong but what people forget is that ceiling fans can create a breeze that makes people in the room feel cooler and more comfortable.
How to use an A C and Ceiling fan together to save electricity bills:
Let’s assume you keep your air conditioner at 22°C when you are home. If you turn on your ceiling fans, raise your air conditioner up 4 degrees to 26°C. The ceiling fan will maintain and keep you just as cool as it is before at 22°C, at a reduced cost.
How much it reduces your utility bills depends on how much you typically use your air conditioner or ceiling fan. As you can see, anytime you’re using the fan and decreasing the use of cooling, you’ll be saving money. The savings can be up to 15 to 20%. Astonished –And the comfort will be more.
Positioning your fan so that it is near the A/C vent helps distribute cold air faster and more efficiently than the A/C alone could. This helps circulating air for a larger area and cool the room quickly. By using the fan, the Ac need not be on a very cold setting which costs more money.
Conclusion:
Using Fan along with air conditioner results in the following:
- Faster cooling – Fan helps to cool your home faster.
- Circulate cooling to the corners of the room.
- Reduced energy consumption.
- Less load on air conditioner
- HAPPY SAVINGS
